RED BOX LINGERIE

RED BOX LINGERIE, COMING HOME.
What an exciting week. Why? Sun? Yes. Sea? Yes. Lingerie directly from France without the mammoth postage cost? Of course. But what else? It’s time to announce Red Box the store.

After spending the last few weeks in France I’ve become more determined than ever to bring French lingerie home with me. Why shouldn’t we be able to have beautifully designed and impeccably made French lingerie the way they do in France. Matching lace bra and knicker sets twinkling in the soft lighting, hung on satin hangers tied with bows filling the corners of seductively lit, calm and relaxing boutiques with intricately detailed ivory silk crystal edged corsets and bustiers draped, lounging on solid antique furniture with polite and courteous, knowledgeable staff waiting to help you find the perfect fit before wrapping that gorgeous chocolate lace trimmed ivory satin bra with ribbon edging up in soft, delicate tissue paper, drizzled with sparkling confetti ready to be taken home and enjoyed. Instead of, cheap, badly made, loosely sewn, neon, luminous copies of what was once couture, lying on the floor after falling off the plastic hangers surrounding the IKEA furniture in fluorescent lit stores crammed full of feisty, impatient shoppers all crowding round trying to gain the attention of the one (two if you’re lucky) assistant who is less than willing to help, forget being fitted properly it’ll be a miracle if your size is available and if it is, finding it in a store room packed full of chicken fillets that will take you from an A to a double D  cup “without looking fake” is just about as impossible.

So here I am, in the middle of choosing between crimson and magenta, voile and organza for drapes whilst trying to contain my excitement for the new Red Box store. The vision is to create French boutiques in England with the first of hopefully more stores opening in Sheffield on the 29th of April, with highly trained committed staff working in an environment that epitomises French style and taste to enhance the shopping experience, including specialists on hand to help with fitting and styling. Isn’t this what we’ve been waiting for?
